Ephesians 4:30-32 NLT - ³⁰ And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Psalms 103:12 NLT - He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

Psalms 130:3-4 NIV - If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? ⁴ But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Mark 11:25 NIV - And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

• Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling. 
• Forgiveness means letting go of the anger and the desire for revenge.
• Forgiveness is an act of mercy toward the offender. 
• Forgiveness isn’t earned, it’s given!
• Forgiveness is essentially a matter of the heart. 

There are Three Levels of Forgiveness:

1. See the humanity of the person who hurt you. 
2. Surrender your right to get even. 
3. Seek to alter your feelings toward the other person.

Matt. 24:9-13 NKJV - ⁹ “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. ¹⁰ And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. ¹¹ Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. ¹² And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. ¹³ But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Colossians 3:12-13 NLT - ¹² Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. ¹³ Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
