God’s Intention
2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV) May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship
of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Genesis 3:8–9 (NIV)
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in
the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the
trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
Leviticus 26:11–12 (NLT)
I will live among you, and I will not despise you. I will walk among you; I will be
your God, and you will be my people.
The Problem
Genesis 3:23–24 (NLT)
So, the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam
out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made. After sending them
out, the Lord God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden.
And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to
the tree of life.
Isaiah 53:6 (NLT)
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our
own.
Hebrews 4:12–13 (NLT)
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-
edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It
exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden
from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to
whom we are accountable.
John 1:1–2,14 (NLT)
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the
Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. So, the Word became
human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and
faithfulness.
The Solution
Isaiah 64:6 (NIV)
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like
filthy rags.
Romans 3:21–24 (NLT)
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the
requirements of the law...We are made right with God by placing our faith in
Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in
his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus
when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Revelation 3:20; 22 TPT
“Behold, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If your heart is open to hear my voice
and you open the door within, I will come in to you and feast with you, and you
will feast with me. The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what
the Spirit is saying now to the churches.”
1 Peter 3:7 (NIV)
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives and treat
them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious
gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
Matthew 5:23–24 (NIV)
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that
your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of
the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
Partner with Holy Spirit
Ezekiel 36:26–28 (MSG)
I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from
your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my
Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!
Romans 8:26–28 (TLB)
The Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t
even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy
Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words. And
the Father who knows all hearts knows, of course, what the Spirit is saying as he
pleads for us in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that all that happens
to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.
