Praise hands

Genesis 2:18 (NIV) The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

1 Cor 7:8 (NIV) Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do.

Purpose is Biblical Community

Problem is sin

Gen 3:7 (NIV) … they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Gen 3:8 (NIV) Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

1 John 1:9 (NIV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Heb 4:16 (NIV) Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

James 5:16 (NIV) Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

Prescription

John 13:34 (NIV) “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Promise

Ps 133:1-3 (NLT) How wonderful and pleasant it is when people live together in unity! For unity is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. And there the Lord has commanded his blessing, even life everlasting.
