FAQ

Bayside Kids Camp is for kids who have completed Kindergarten – 5th grade in the prior school year. Kids ages infant – 5 years old may attend our Little Camp, which happens during Bayside Kids Camp, if their parent is a full time volunteer at Bayside Kids Camp.

Childcare will not be provided before or after Big Camp unless you are serving with us. Doors open at 8:30 AM each morning, and the program will end each day at 5pm. Please be prompt when picking up your child.

Snacks will be served each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You will need to pack a lunch for your child each day. If your child has any type of food allergy please note that on your registration and be prepared to pack both a lunch and two snacks for your child each day. We are not able to serve any food to children who have any food allergy.

Youth who are 13 years old may volunteer but must be an active Bayside Kids Dream Team member by June 1 of this year . If your youth would like to serve at Big Camp please have them complete the Bayside Kids application process. baysidekidsvolunteer.com

When registering your child you are provided a space to include the name of one child who is the same gender and grade level as your child. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but can not guarantee.

We want to support your family with excellence at Big Camp and provide a safe experience. During registration you will be given the opportunity to indicate that your child has a food allergy. After completing your registration you will receive an email two weeks prior to Big Camp that contains instruction on how to send approved snacks for your child, as well as additional paperwork that needs to be completed for your child.

Thank you for understanding that we will not be able to administer any over the counter or prescription medications during Big Camp, except in the case of an Epi Pen or a rescue inhaler because they are lifesaving medications.

Please send your child’s Epi Pen in a plastic zip top bag with your child’s first and last name and grade written on it, and drop it off at the Resource Center on the first day of camp.

Please send your child’s Rescue Inhaler (and spacer, if needed) in a plastic zip top bag with your child’s first and last name a grade written on it, and drop it off at the Resource Center on the first day of camp.

T-shirts and camp bags will be given out on the first day of camp during the day.

Yes, transportation will be provided from the following campuses to EBC each day: Hardee County, Riverview, and The Bradenton Dream Center

When registering your child please select that you would like transportation and what campus your child will be dropped off and picked up at each day. If you chose to have your child ride the buses from one of our campuses they must utilize transportation each day, to and from that campus.

Please have your child wear comfortable play clothes and tennis shoes to camp. It is strongly recommended that all campers wear appropriate shorts or pants to camp. If girls choose to wear a dress, we ask that they wear a pair of shorts underneath for modesty. Flip flops, sandals, and dress shoes make it difficult for campers to run and play and therefore are not the best or safest option. Water shoes or crocs are recommended on your child’s Water Day.

Each camper needs his/her own medical release in the event that he/she needs medical attention beyond the basic first aid provided by our Bayside Kids staff and Ecare team. This document gives permission for a medical professional to administer treatment should it become necessary. That medical professional, medical facility or medical provider will require individual documentation for consent.

In Bayside Kids safety is our #1 priority. In an effort to keep all of our children safe we have a pocket rule for all cell phones and devices that connect to the Internet. If your child intends to bring an electronic device to Summer Camp please let them know that it must remain in their pocket, or their Camp bag, at all times. If a child does not abide by the “pocket rule” their electronic device will be taken for the remainder of the day and stored at the Resource Center. If your child needs to contact you at any point during the day they are free to come to the Resource Center and use their electronic device. If you need to get in touch with your child or the Bayside Kids staff at any point during camp please call 941-755-8600 and ask to be connected to the Summer Camp.

We want to be ensure your child is picked up by a person that you, as his/her parent or guardian, has authorized to pick them up. Without a parent pick up sticker, we will request a photo ID to be sure the person picking your child up is authorized to do so. We will do this by cross referencing the persons name and information on their photo ID with the authorized pick up information given during registration.

100% of your registration fee is refundable through June 13th. From June 14th through June 24th, 50% per camper is refundable. No refunds can be administered after the first day of Big Camp. Refunds must be requested by emailing [email protected]mybayside.church
