"So I got up and I didn't just walk but I ran to the stage. It was such a beautiful moment because I was completely healed, I was able to walk and then run. It was such a beautiful moment."

"I walked into that church as a non believer. You see the smiles, you feel the presence of the Lord and you feel the spirit. I instantly felt like I was at home."

-RAFAEL

HEAR RAFAEL'S STORY
"The kids and the youth is really where it starts. They are literally the next generation. These are people that will be leading the church one day. So being able to teach 3 and 4 year olds the story of Jesus-it goes with them the rest of their lives-I think is really important."

Why We Give
God is generous to us and so He calls us to give our "first". Tithing our first 10% of our income is how we are able to worship God by trusting him before we spend the rest. We want to glorify and obey God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” - 2 Corinthians: 6-7 We believe that in this we can know that God will use our tithe to impact our own lives and His Kingdom!

How do I access/manage my giving account/history?
FAQ arrow

The best place to view your giving history or giving statement is by logging into your Planning Center profile and select My Giving. Because Overflow seamlessly integrates with our system, your Planning Center profile will securely show your complete giving history, including all past donations alongside your new Overflow giving.

What is the benefit of giving through stocks, DAF, or crypto?
FAQ arrow

Donating appreciated stock, crypto, or DAF funds allows you to eliminate capital gains tax and claim a full deduction for the asset's market value, maximizing your impact for God's Kingdom. While you should always consult your tax advisor, this strategy ensures more of your generosity goes directly to ministry rather than taxes.

Can I set up an employer match donation?
FAQ arrow

It depends on the employer. Some will allow churches, while others do not. If they don’t, you might consider the Bradenton Dream Center. Email givinghelp@mybayside.church for more information.

Learn more about required minimum distributions.
FAQ arrow

Once someone turns 73, specific amounts must be taken from retirement plans yearly, which is known as a required minimum distribution (RMD). This is subject to ordinary income tax and can be taxed federally and at the state level. To reduce taxable income, you may consider donating your RMD directly to Bayside Community Church through a qualified charitable distribution. When doing so, you lower your tax liability while fulfilling your RMD, and Bayside Community Church receives the founds without credit card fees.

Why does Overflow need my banking information?
FAQ arrow

Overflow uses Plaid to verify your bank account. Many companies trust Plaid because of its commitment to the security of your financial data. Bayside, nor the Overflow app have access to anything you enter into Plaid.

Alternatively, you can choose to manually verify your bank account by choosing the manual option. Here, you will add your account information the same way you would to set up online payments with other companies.
